The civilians of Deir Ezzor suffer from risks of landmines that are planted in the road of displacement. They are also exposed to be targeted by warplanes, or being victims of loss or death due to lack of food and water. Besides, the inhumane treatment of armed opposition groups and Syria Democratic forces constitutes a major concern of those civilians who leave the province of Deir Ezzor.
Moreover, many civilians were killed or injured by landmines that were planted in close areas to their home and they never intended to take a displacement road. This was a resulted by the landmines that were planted by ISIS nearby populated areas in the desert of Deir Ezzor,
Justice for Life organization has documented since January 1st 2016 until September 30th 2017 the death of 99 civilians from Deir Ezzor due to landmines in different areas across Syria, including 11 women and 29 children.
